In its first meet of the 2012-13 indoor track and field season, the DePaul Blue Demons were led by a young core that included a assembly of freshman along with some Blue and Gold Invitational veterans.

The Blue Demons open their indoor track season at 4 p.m. Friday at the Blue & Gold Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. Also competing at the Loftus Sports Center will be Marquette, Detroit and Bethel College.
