Three event wins and plenty of personal records made for a successful Friday for the DePaul track and field teams between the one-day Hoosier Hills Invite and the Chicagoland Indoor Championships.

The indoor track and field season continues for DePaul as the teams split their time this weekend between the Hoosier Hills Open and the Chicagoland Indoor Championships.

DePaul track and field’s Brian Mada earned the BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week award after his performances in the Meyo Invitational this past weekend, announced Tuesday by the league office.

The DePaul men’s and women’s track and field teams closed the Meyo Invitational on Saturday with several season-best times throughout the day.

The first day of the Meyo Invitational featured tough competition for the DePaul men’s and women’s track and field teams and the Blue Demons answered with top-10 finishes and season-best results.

The DePaul track and field teams head back to South Bend, Ind. for the third time this year to compete at the Meyo Invitational on Feb. 5 and Feb. 6.
